Valley Mall in Union Gap adding four new businesses in late 2023, early '24

A Jersey Mike’s sub sandwich shop, Hickory Farms gift basket location, &Tea bubble tea shop and Milan Laser beauty shop are among the new tenants coming in and around the Valley Mall in Union Gap.

Jacob Butler, marketing manager for Valley Mall owner CenterCal Properties, announced the new businesses last week, with all four expected to open either before the holidays or early in 2024.

“We are proud to attract first to market stores for our loyal visitors,” Butler said in a news release.

Jersey Mike’s will open its shop in late 2023 or early 2024 along the Valley Mall frontage near Starbucks on South First Street (just north of Miner’s Drive-In), Butler said.

The sub shop, with more than 2,500 locations nationwide, offers fresh-sliced subs and Philly cheesesteaks grilled to order on freshly baked bread. Its original location opened in 1956 in Point Pleasant, N.J.

The Hickory Farms store will open soon for holiday gift-giving at 1632 E. Washington Ave. (just north of the main mall building). Its gift baskets include savory meats, fresh cheeses and sweet desserts.

Milan Laser is the largest laser hair removal company in the U.S. and provides state-of-the-art laser treatments in a safe and comfortable environment, the company website states. Its three nearest locations to the Yakima Valley are Vancouver, Wash., Richland and Post Falls, Idaho.

&Tea has a shop in downtown Yakima at 123 E. Yakima Ave. (at the northwest corner of Yakima Avenue and Second Street). It offers various milk and boba teas, doughnuts and other items.
